Creating manufacturing jigs for the production of aerospace components requires high quality materials and precision machining. So, when parts of an original jig, which had been press-formed, started to crack, it was essential to find an alternative production method, which led to Barnshaws Metal Bending being contracted to manufacture the new components.

The breathtaking design of the CWK convention and exhibition centre near Rzeszow in South East Poland has, in part, been made possible by the skills and expertise of the engineers at Barnshaws Polska. The curved sections of the tubular steel structure have been created at the new Polish Engineering facility that has been set up to service steel fabricators and construction companies across Europe.

Following the recent opening of Barnshaws’ Polish facility, the company has been quick to secure substantial orders for rolled steel products and the extended customer list is growing rapidly. One of the latest projects involved creating the skeleton frame for a new Polish tram design and manufacturing the components to meet the tight build schedule.

Today we say farewell and good luck to Trevor Steward who, after 33 years working at Barnshaws, will be retiring to fulfil his dream of seeing more of the world, we want to wish Trevor all the very best for the future and thank him for all of his hard work.
