In luxury lighting, every detail matters. When CTO Lighting sought to create a bold new design, they turned to Barnshaw Section Benders for their expert metal bending. The result was a perfect blend of precision and creativity.
Precision Brass Bending for Bespoke Lighting
This project involved a large order of 50 x 25 x 1.5mm Brass RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section), rolled to a 475mm inside radius. While the specification may appear straightforward, bending such a thin and malleable material without causing deformation was a significant challenge.
Brass, despite its beauty, is known to be quite delicate during the bending process. Its thin walls are susceptible to denting, creasing, or losing their shape. However, at Barnshaws, tackling these technical challenges is part of their everyday work. Using advanced CNC bending machines and a thorough multi-step process, Barnshaws guarantees that every curve is smooth, precise, and visually perfect.

To further support the design-to-delivery process, Barnshaws also offered a bespoke cut-to-length service. This meant that each finished section was ready to be fitted directly into CTO Lighting’s assembly line, eliminating delays and maintaining the momentum of their production schedule.
