Expanding on its recently launched hot bending service, Barnshaws Section Benders is now offering this production method for thick-wall steel plate, providing an efficient option for producing thick wall cylinders. Ideal for demanding piping or structural applications, Barnshaws can fabricate cylinders down to an internal diameter of 300 mm with a thickness of up to 150 mm.
Thick-walled cylinders see wide use in a number of challenging applications in the engineering, oil and gas, structural, petrochemical, nuclear and pressure vessel industries. The thick walls offer increased resistance to pressure or aggressive media, a key concern for operators within these sectors. As is typical of all Barnshaws’ steel bending or fabrications, all cylinders are offered with full traceability and all relevant certifications.
The new service cements Barnshaws’ position as one of the most capable metal bending specialists in the world, and in conjunction with its comprehensive welding expertise, offers customers a one-stop-shop for all thick-wall cylinder needs. Barnshaws is now accepting orders, with machine capacity already assigned to deliver cylinders on short lead times.
