Barnshaws, one of the world's largest metal bending companies, has a proven track record of supplying high-quality bent steel for Santa's operations. One year the company helped prevent a candy crisis by bending candy canes, another time it rolled new skis into Santa's sleigh, and a few winters ago it helped get the Polar Express up and running by replacing aging railroads.
This time, specialists from Barnshaws were asked to help with Liverpool ONE's beautiful new Christmas tree to give the city the most festive atmosphere of the year.
The artificial neon tree is located in the centre of the alpine village of Chavasse Park. It rises 18 meters above sea level, replacing the iconic "love heart" tree that had been there for several years.
The new yuletide additions to Liverpool Winter Wonderland were made from almost 300 bent box sections (SHS) in different sizes.
Barnshaws team commented: “The new Christmas tree now lights up the streets of Liverpool beautifully and we are thrilled to help once again bring a fairy-tale Christmas to life. A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Barnshaws!”
