CAD Engineer

Barnshaws Metal Bending has an opportunity for a CAD Engineer to join our team based at Anchor Lane, Coseley, West Midlands, WV14 9NE

Established in 1969, we specialize in bending and curving of all types of metals and alloys for 55 years. We provide Section Bending, Press Braking, Plate Rolling, Hot Heavy Plate forming, Welding, Plasma & Laser cutting services

Key responsibilities:-

Liaising with customers to produce quotations
Producing development drawings using AutoCAD, to assist purchasing with material requirements, costing, and production
Producing working instructions from customer information and drawings
Supporting the Sales, Production, and Purchasing departments

Required Experience:-

Previous experience in working in the steel industry, engineering, or construction
Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
Experience in producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD or Solidworks
Ability to use Lantek or similar nesting programmes
Knowledge of material grades and production methods
