Wear resistant steel plate provides reliable protection against the most abrasive of loads due to its high quality

Press formed wear resistant steel plate makes the optimal selection for tipping trailer bodies

Press formed wear resistant steel trailer bodies offer the perfect solution to mine and quarry operators – or for any haulage application requiring wear protection. Wear resistant steel plate provides reliable protection against the most abrasive of loads due to its high quality, low level of impurities, increased impact resistance and weight savings. Matthew Pritchard, Group Project Manager at Barnshaws Section Benders, explains the challenges, benefits and options available when working with wear resistant steels for transporting abrasive media.

Barnshaws helps celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Supermarine Spitfire

Very few aircraft capture the essence of British resistance like the Supermarine Spitfire, an aircraft which today epitomises the valiant efforts made by the RAF during the Second World War. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful propeller aircraft to ever grace the sky, the Supermarine Spitfire played a vital role in modernising British fighter squadrons against the technologically advanced Luftwaffe, supplementing the dependable but somewhat obsolete Hawker Hurricane. This month the Spitfire celebrates the 80th anniversary since its maiden flight on 5th March 1936, and this recognition has been supported by Barnshaws Section Benders precision bending and fabrication.
